• Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements.
• Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives.
• Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions.

• Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.
Specific Job Description:
• Candidate will support the Marine Corps Systems Command, Program Manager, Optics & Non-Lethal Systems Program Office (PM ONS) at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, GA. Responsibilities of the position include:
- Serving as the Logistics, Provisioning, and Technical Subject Matter Expert for image intensifying night optics and electro-optic test, measurement, diagnostic, & support equipment.
- Providing information and advice to those who design, test, produce, procure, supply, operate, repair, or dispose of electro-optic equipment.
- Providing technical input during the development of procurement and technical data packages.
- Compiling, maintaining, and analyzing data for tools, parts, components, and standardized maintenance procedures needed for efficient field use and maintenance.
- Providing assistance during the conduct of logistics assessments supporting new equipment procurement decisions.
- Preparing high quality logistics documentation such as Supply Instructions, Technical Instructions, Modification Instructions, and Disposal Plans.
- Assisting in the development of repair manuals and technical bulletins and overseeing the completion of Cataloging Action Requests and supply catalog data/information.
- Interfacing with Logistics Managers and Inventory Managers at Marine Corps Logistics Command on behalf of PM ONS.
- Additionally, candidates must have the ability to multi-task, be familiar with MS Office tools/products, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The candidate hired for this position MUST be able to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance from the U.S. Government within 3 weeks from the date of hire.
- A denial by the U.S. Government to grant the employee an Interim Secret Clearnance will result in the individual being dismissed from the company.
Required Skills:
• Possess an in-depth understanding of USMC logistics concepts, policies, and procedures, including organizational (operator/crew) & intermediate (field) level maintenance, along with USMC supply & maintenance practices.
• Possess knowledge of Marine Corps supply system, supply chain management process, and Technical Publications development and publication process.
Desired Skills:
• Possess practical knowledge of electro-optic equipment and its characteristics, properties, and uses in order to collect, analyze, interpret, and provide information about the performance and use of equipment.
• Prior US Marine Corps/US Army experience with a maintenance background, preferably with a ordnance maintenance background or USMC Military Occupational Specialty of 2171 (Electro-Optics Ordnance Repairer)/US Army MOS of 45G (Fire Control System Repairer).
• Previous experience supporting Marine Corps Systems Command as an Equipment Specialist.
• Possess knowledge on the operation of the Total Force Structure Management System, with prior Super User status.
• Possess a working knowledge of the Marine Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (MICAPS).
Typical Minimums:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience.
• 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
