Description:

• The Buyer will develop and implement global external supplier and commodity strategies while driving long term improvements in Quality, Cost and Delivery by engaging and supporting key stakeholders that enhance competitive and commercial performance of Rolls-Royce, its customers and suppliers.


Key Accountabilities:

Supplier Relationships:

• Lead and coordinate supplier relationships and strategy(s) within the designated external buy supply chain.


Cost Management:

• Create and deploy Cost Models (e.g. User-Friendly Cost Standards) for designated commodities, services, products and the development and delivery of the agreed financial commitments.


Strategic Sourcing:

• Develop and execute commodity strategy(s) and execute the sourcing process.


Delivery:

• Manage supplier delivery performance in assigned commodities, services, and products.


Quality:

• Manage supplier quality performance for the assigned commodities, services, products.


Process & Procedures:

• Ensure adherence to the company's processes and procedures.


Code of Ethics:

• Adhere to company's code of ethics.


Qualifications and Experience:

Basic:

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or engineering with 2+ years experience in supply chain or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• In lieu of experience, Master's degree in supply chain, purchasing or business required.


Preferred:

• Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working.
• Proven track record in delivering results.
• Understands manufacturing or service processes and the cost drivers, total cost of acquisition impact & supplier relationship management.
