Description:
• The Regional Purchasing Manager is responsible for developing supplier relationships in accordance with the Supplier Relationship Leader accountability statement within the designated external buy supply chain.
• You will ensure suppliers assigned to the region have appropriate business plans supporting Rolls-Royce PLC cost, technology and continuous improvement requirements.
• You will operate through the full product life cycle, will ensure the assigned team meets annual Purchase cost commitments.
• You will ensure business plan operating costs across the assigned buyers meets annual regional Purchase cost commitments and will consult with Global Commodity Leader and agrees counter measure(s).
Strategic Sourcing:
• Stay informed of the relevant commodity and category strategies affecting suppliers in the region.
• Consult when the execution of sourcing policies impact suppliers within the region.
• Manage program execution of strategic sourcing activities for the region.
• Undertake stakeholder reviews for input to and approval of both category and sourcing decisions, ensure buyer builds their requirements into appropriate strategies.
Delivery:
• Responsible for the delivery performance (including New Product Introduction) of those suppliers that trade with Rolls-Royce in the region.
• Consults with relevant Global Commodity Leader and agrees counter measures where supplier performance falls below acceptable standards and parts are provided across multiple commodities /Category(s).
Quality:
• Responsible for the quality performance (including New Product Introduction) of those suppliers that trade with Rolls-Royce in the region.
• Consult with relevant Supplier Development, Quality and Technical Manager and agrees counter measures where supplier performance falls below acceptable standards and parts are provided across multiple commodities /Category(s).
Processes and Procedures:
• Accountable and responsible for ensuring adherence to the company's processes and procedures, maintaining purchasing systems to ensure associated KPI's are met and ensuring records are maintained in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage delivery of business plans compliant with all regulatory and environmental frameworks.
Staff Selection and Deployment:
• Responsible for resourcing the SCMT in consultation with the appropriate function and for the development of the Buyers, MRPC's - buy and Administrator Purchasing in execution of their roles through effective coaching and mentoring.
Qualifications and Experience:
Basic:
• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, or technical field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in supply management activities required.
Preferred:
• Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
• Ability to communicate bilingually is preferred.
