Description:

• Plans, implements and controls the efficient, effective flow and storage of goods, services, and related information from the point of origin to the point of consumption in order to meet internal customers' requirements.
• Responsible for the purchase of telecommunications equipment, parts, and related goods and services to meet the needs of the Company nationwide.
• Manages the corporate Logistics, Warehouse, and Bar Coding processes.
• Develops and implements Inventory Control systems, policies and procedures in a Shared Services environment.
• Maintains primary oversight of corporate contract negotiations for purchase agreements and service level agreements.
• Receives materials from vendors, stocks shelves and completes paperwork.
• May unload and stock incoming materials.
• May enter inventory transactions into inventory database.
• Pulls inventory to fulfill requisitions.
• Operates bar code readers to tag all CPE and materials received and/or assess status changes.
• Packs customer orders according to specifications.
• Uses computer programs designed to support various warehouse functions (receiving, testing, shipping, etc.).
• May be required to have basic knowledge of billing system.
• Assists in performing periodic warehouse inventories, and at higher levels may assist in researching discrepancies and taking corrective action.
• Performs tagging, packing and shipping activities according to schedule.
• May order stock or non-stock equipment and materials from Vendors.
• May perform courier duties.


Material Planner:

• Places internal requisitions or transfers to warehouse.
• May code invoices.
• Contact Vendors on lead times, price and equipment availability.
• Review and analyze inventory stock levels and usage to maintain min/max levels.
• Create new part numbers and deactivate old numbers.
• Analyze excess/obsolete inventory.
• Research and reconcile received-not-vouchered accounts.
• Research, reconcile and maintain data integrity of inventory databases.
• Verifies inventory receipt transactions.
• May perform inventory in-transit report.
• May collaborate with other departments for material review.
• May assist with damaged freight claims.
• May clean converters and remotes.


Supply Chain Specialist II and III:

• May coordinate material and/or equipment repairs with outside vendors.
• May run reports in advanced inventory management tools.
• May assist in negotiating drop/ship schedules with vendors and contractors.


CPE Tech I, II, III:

• Communicates with and supports departments and contractors to verify lost equipment and equipment return, monthly cycle counts, and equipment testing.
• May be required to perform CPE testing for general video connection and perform basic troubleshooting.
• At higher levels, may be required to forecast and trend equipment usage/requirements.
• 38-May clean and make cosmetic repairs to CPE and remotes.


Driver:

• Operates standard delivery truck.
• Unloads/loads materials, equipment, and packages daily.
• Provides delivery of company materials and equipment as needed.
• Pick up and delivery of converters to retail/front counter locations.
• May provide daily mail delivery service.


Required:

• Typical Training / Experience - HS diploma, GED or relevant work experience; 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• Dept/Org Scope & Impact - Entry level support role requiring basic skills; can perform some of the basic tasks within the function; some impact at the job or department level.
• Problem Complexity - Performs simple, routine work; Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction; Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Any deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor/manager.
• Autonomy - Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment; Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior co-worker and/or supervisor/manager.
• Knowledge - Assignments require minimal knowledge beyond the assigned work; Demonstrates correct understanding of routine aspects of work.
