Description:
• The candidate will support the deployment and enhancement of a broad range of software applications, which includes both commercial off-the-shelf and internally-developed software.
• He/she will interact closely with business software applications owners representing Genzyme's Operations Division, which encompasses the Quality and Materials Management functions.
• As a lead member of the Business Analysts group, this position encompasses.
• Documenting functional requirements, including SOX and cGMP compliance requirements.
• Initiating project activity and overseeing it through system development.
• Performing business process modeling to determine system design.
• Documenting logical data structures and flows.
• Ensuring appropriate testing is developed and executed.
• Performing the role of a project manager or technical lead while fulfilling the requirements of the Genzyme IT's Project Management Office.
• Functioning as a primary liaison for communications between IT and the business users.
• Managing development activity conducted by internal or external resources.
• Initiating change requests and guiding them through the change management process.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 10 years of IT experience with a background in systems analysis, project management, and enterprise application support within a life science company.
• Experience with the various Information Management Systems (Quality, Learning, Calibration, Laboratory) within a Life Science company.
• Solid foundation of knowledge in the area of Software application architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to guide the successful completion of major design efforts and functions in a project leadership role.
• Software development lifecycle (SDLC) and change management techniques for system documentation such as use cases, business process models, and entity relationship diagrams Project management.
• Integration technologies.
• Some domestic and international travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Masters Degree.
• Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (e.g. STARLIMS), Quality Information Systems (e.g. TrackWise), Learning Management Systems (e.g. Plateau), and Calibration Management Systems (e.g. Gage InSite).
• Integration broker technology such as webMethods.
• ITIL familiarity and/or certification.
• Training will be provided as needed in ITIL, project management, and supply chain technologies.
