Contract Specialist

Description:

• This position is responsible for the negotiation of purchase contracts and license agreements for products and services in support of IT.
• This position will also be responsible for lower complexity competitive bidding or sourcing projects, including competitive quotations and end-to-end RFIs and RFP management.


Key Job Functions & Duties:

• Negotiate and execute contracts or license agreements with Suppliers.
• Develop less complex Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals, and communicate to vendors.
• Develop vendor selection criteria.
• Evaluate vendor responses and make finalists recommendations.


Qualifications:

• At least 3 years relevant experience in Purchase Contract Negotiation and Management.
• College Degree Required.
• Experience with IT commodities, especially software license contracts, highly desired.
• CPM or CPSM Desired.
• Strong contract negotiation skills and experience working with Legal and IT business owners to structure optimal contracts.
• Demonstrated success in establishing, managing and leading contract negotiations and RFP teams which result in successful project delivery with qualitative and quantitative results.
• Ability to manage multiple contracting and RFP projects and effectively deal with a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Experience performing detailed analyzes of complex data or situations.
• Performing supplier financial analyses.
• Experience in reporting, and the use of spreadsheets and Powerpoint.
• Experience in driving customer satisfaction through proven, measurable contracting results while balancing controls and risk mitigation.
• Experience in using eSourcing tools and technologies (esp. SAP eSourcing/Frictionless) preferred, including eRFx, reverse auctions, project management tools, contract management tools.
• Also experience required in procurement ERP modules.
• Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay processes.
