Description:
• The Naval Supply Chain Operations and Acquisition Specialist will provide supply chain management subject matter expertise specifically in the area of DoD, and Naval air warfare.
• The candidate will guide military organizations in their search for business value in today's rapidly-changing, technology enabled environment in the supply chain space.
• The candidate will collaborate with client executives from DoD and Aero Space Industry on thought leadership points of view and studies that can help clients.
• The candidate will provide transformational strategies to 3 and 4 star level Naval leadership on effective use of weapon systems, crew training and acquisition.
• The candidate will assess risk associated with change in the warfare environment, even while forces are actively engaged in hostile action. • The candidate will partner with major defense OEMs to deliver supply chain solutions to IBM government clients.
• The candidate will be responsible for proposal development and executive program management of large Naval contracts.
Required:
• Associate's Degree/College Diploma.
• At least 5 years experience in supply chain management specifically in the area of DoD, and Naval air warfare.
• Readiness to travel up to 25%; travelling 2 days a week, home on weekends.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• English: Fluent.
Preferred:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business/Management.
• At least 5 years experience in US military operations specifically in the area of naval aviation.
• At least 5 years experience in program management experience with multiple full lifecycle, successful SCM engagements involving technology, process and organizational change initiatives.
• At least 5 years experience in managing military fleet enterprise and major acquisition programs.
• At least 5 years experience in Collaboratng with client executives from DoD and Aero Space industries to formulate road maps for supply chain business transformation.
• At least 5 years experience in effectively managing a profit and loss center.
