Description:
• The intern position will provide support to enhance purchasing functions regarding current MPI procurement programs.
• In this role, the intern will generate and review data analysis supporting procurement needs for Indirect Spend items and make recommendations to identify optimal areas of governance.
• Analyze current processes and the management of various procurement programs, such as small business practices and make recommendations to enhance efficiencies and workflow.
• Review existing purchasing procedures and evaluate for compliance and make recommendations for incorporating all applicable subsidiaries and recommend method of tracking.
• Assist in various purchasing projects such as maintenance of vendor addresses, and IPI tracking programs.
• Performing functions in support of the supply chain activities and other duties as assigned.
Reporting Structure:
Qualifications:
• Minimum of two (2) years of completed toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering is required.
• Must possess knowledge of Industrial Engineering competencies, planning, logistics, problem resolution and project management skills.
• Computer skills required in Microsoft Office in Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
