• Define, deliver, and promote enterprise architecture (leading EA artifacts, standards and examples).
• Apply relevant architectural frameworks: FEA, DoDAF, Zachman, TOGAF.
• Determine dependencies for core business processes with respect to the operational business process lifecycles.
• Develop specific scenarios which demonstrate dependencies and steps required to produce successful outcomes for core business processes.
• Develop and support others in projects that deliver business, data, services, and technology architectural views.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in enterprise architecture, mentoring others and performing knowledge transfer.
• Work on-site to assist clients to manage large-scale technology and business transformation initiatives through the use of EA.
• Innovate and design EA solutions that can be packaged for reuse for other clients.
• Understand and assist in the achievement of practice and/or client goals.
• Obtain and maintain all applicable training and certifications as deemed appropriate by leadership.
Position-specific Required Skills:
• 10+ years of overall technical/EA experience with a Bachelors degree in business, information technology or similar field required; or 8+ years experience with a Masters degree.
• Significant experience in business process modeling including techniques, facilitation, quality, and fluent in the BPMN standard; preferably BPMN 2.0. Significant hands on tools BPM tools experience.
• Experience/exposure to business performance models/metrics such as Balance Score Card (BSC) or other similar methods.
• Documentation of business and IT processes including all applicable inputs, outputs, and work products.
• Provide business analysis support for complex applications, including analyzing and documenting business processes and translating user requirements.
• 2+ years of experience with Enterprise Architecture (EA), working in at least two areas within the lifecycle of an EA effort (Strategy, “As-Is”/ “To-Be” Business/Application/Information/Technical Architecting, Gap Analysis, Transition Plan/Roadmap with supporting BCA, Governance, Portfolio Management).
• 2+ years experience with EA tools (iGraphx, Troux, System Architect (SA), Popkin, ProVision, Aris or similar tools).
• 2+ years experience with DOD, civilian or commercial EA constructs and frameworks (DoDAF, FEA, TOGAF, ARIS, Zachman).
• Have used at least one of the following EA Modeling Techniques: BPM, UML, IDEF0, IDEF3.
• 2+ years of prior government (DOD experience preferred) and/or commercial consulting experience.
• Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret clearance; active DOD Secret clearance (or higher) preferred.
• Must be local and able to work 100% in the DC metro area Position-specific.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Performance Reference Modeling (PRM) and Business Reference Modeling (BRM).
• XML Experience.
• Capabilities/requirements business definition/specification experience.
• Understands one or more of the latest advances architecture such as SOA and/or Web Services; semantic and knowledge-based technologies, BPEL, value chains, and strategy maps.
• Understands: DoD Policies on Global Information Grid (GIG) and/or Net-Centric Architecture and/or DoD 5000.2.
• Prior project Implementations (Business, Process, People, Data) and knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
