Description:
• We are currently seeking a highly qualified Senior Logistics Planner to join our Operations Support department in Limerick, PA.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving our production planning and inventory systems to ensure cost effective production schedules, procurement and stocking levels.
Specific Accountabilities include:
• Maintaining the integrity of SAP production, direct materials and corresponding financial data.
• Developing and implementing long term plans to optimize our systems to meet expanding market share.
• Coordinating Bills of Material, specifications and equipment attribute data bases to ensure supply chain data integrity and efficient production plans.
• Maintaining equipment /product attribute data base and capacity calendar to ensure correct product is manufactured and cost effective production plans are generated.
• Establishing budget capacity production rates and adjustment factors for the financial budget cycles; monitoring and updating as required to insure correct and accurate production plans and schedules.
• Developing off-line strategic supplier analyses, production planning and scheduling business analyses, scenario management, and modeling “what-if” simulations to resolve problems and make recommendations to management.
• Finalizing and distributing factory orders to manufacturing defining all production parameters and specification requirements.
• Confirming product specifications to ensure correct information is provided to factories and support departments.
• Maintain effective relationships with factory management, Specification Control and Maintenance, and Logistics partners.
Specific Skills:
Qualifications include:
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field, plus a minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing operations, production planning or specification management environment.
• Thorough knowledge of factory workflow processes, products, equipment and related attributes, Bills of Material and specifications.
• Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently with operating systems and software packages (SAP, MMS, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Effective oral and written communication skills, planning skills and keen attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and statistical ability.
• Ability to work independently in order to prioritize work requirements, solve problems, facilitate business changes and drive process improvements.
