Description:
• Directors in the Clinical Operations practice will have significant responsibility for project management, client management, solution design and implementation, and generation of project results.
• They are responsible for working with client executives to maintain the appropriate client support and momentum.
Directors have the following responsibilities:
• Assess and quantify financial/process improvement opportunities throughout all HR functional areas.
• Identify, create, drive and deliver innovative service strategies and tools to generate significant profitable revenue opportunities at new and existing clients.
• Lead and focus team efforts in data gathering and analysis, data interpretation, process design and formulating conclusions and recommendations.
• Collaborate with project planning and staff scheduling to insure leverage of resources.
• Lead team efforts in developing solutions to difficult or complex client situations to ensure goals and objectives are met, including delivering results on time and within budget.
• Conduct client interviews related to data analysis, data interpretation, and process design.
• Participate in practice management which includes tools, methodologies, recruiting, people development and proposals as appropriate.
• Provide quality control for work done by engagement team.
• Prepare final client status reports and create presentations to clients and engagement staff that demonstrate full command of factual material.
• Develop strong client relationships to expand current projects and identify new business and cross-selling opportunities.
• Play a key role in the professional development and performance review of staff, including the mentoring and recruiting of staff.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of client management.
• Utilize proprietary tracking tools to measure project progress, benefits provided to clients, and achievement of budget expectations.
• Manage day-to-day client relationships.
• Lead the sale of $1-$3 million of new work, and participate in sales pursuits resulting in $3-$4 million.
• Lead client savings teams/areas on 2 to 5 projects.
Job Requirements:
• BS/BA degree a health-related field required.
• A MD or Master's degree in Nursing, in Health or Hospital Administration is highly preferred.
• 12+ years experience in healthcare consulting (preferred) and/or healthcare provider operations with relevant clinical performance/standard of care improvement is required.
• Possess highly specialize skills in many of the following areas:
– Clinical Adoption.
– Clinical Integration.
– Clinical program assessment and implementation including clinical protocols.
– Core Measurement expertise/benchmarking - building the database to establish dashboards.
– Understand pay for performance issues.
– Understanding of clinical denials, clinically related compliance matters.
– Clinical resource consumption including length of stay expertise.
– Manage ancillary testing.
• Project Management experience including creating work plans, budgets, managing budget to actual, and goal setting/benchmarks.
• Experience supervising project teams and co-workers, and ability to coach and mentor staff.
• Ability to actively manage and deliver on client expectations around project activities, timelines, deliverables, outcomes, etc.
• Ability to provide targeted communication, both verbal and written, to internal and external constituents.
• Proven analytical and process redesign skills, including problem solving, quantitative reasoning, workflow process, etc.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of professionals and personalities in a team environment.
• Possess the following skill sets:

– Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and presentation skills.
– Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
– Desire to do meaningful work and make a difference.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to make the following minimum travel commitment:
– Monday - Thursday on-site at client location/Friday home office - each/every week.
– As such, our consultants can live anywhere in the lower 48 states as long as they are near a major airport.
