Description:
• Incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Performance Chemicals supply chain activities in the NAFTA.
• This includes demand planning, regional production planning, optimizing plant utilization, interregional production allocation, inventory management, optimizing logistics processes and costs, and interface with IT communities.
• Additional responsibilities include implementing global integrated IT systems, managing swap agreements, and conducting special supply chain projects.
• Manage the production planning in NAFTA.
• Interface with the global planning process.
• Manage the optimization of Performance Chemicals plant capacity utilization in NAFTA.
• Manage directly the production allocations within NAFTA.
• Manage directly Performance Chemicals inventories in NAFTA.
• Responsible for optimizing the logistics processes and costs in NAFTA.
• Responsible for implementing both IT and non-IT projects in NAFTA.
• Together with business management identify and establish swap arrangements.
• Together with business management optimize existing Co-manufacturer Supply Arrangements.
• Together with global logistics, GL, implement and globally integrate IT systems for Performance Chemicals in NAFTA.
• Sets priorities on warehousing, distribution, and planning.
• Plans, monitors, and reviews progress toward the team's goals in support of department and company goals.
• Participates in the execution of the Strategic Business Plan.
• Interviews and participates in the hiring of personnel.
• Evaluates personnel performance and development.
• Appraises and makes recommendations on salary and staffing.
• Formulates group budgets, including acquisition of capital equipment and supplies.
• Studies operating and cost reports and determines ways to improve profitability.
• Ensures safe working conditions.
• Plans, participates, and directs group safety effort as part of plant and departmental programs to prevent injury to personnel and damage to property.
• Conducts safety and housekeeping inspections, enforces safety regulations, and encourages safe work habits.
Qualifications:
• BS Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years experience in progressive Supply Chain roles.
• 3+ years supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with SAP strongly preferred.
• Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to foster respect and teamwork within the members of the product teams, shipping teams, external customers, as well as peers.
• Be effective in high-level negotiation situations, have effective administrative ability and the capacity for detailed analysis and planning, and be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• The ability to foster teamwork with members of Performance Chemicals Production, Business Management, and Supply Chain groups.
