Description:
• The Supply Chain Planning & Control Executive - Supply Chain Unit will develop and manage the supply chain performance for the Packaging & Driven Equipment Supply Chain Unit for the Energy business.
• This individual will ensure a current and future world class, competitive commodity supply chain for all aspects of the product life cycle by supporting the definition of the Supply Chain Unit strategy in line with the global commodity, product and operations strategies to support Customer Facing Business Unit (CFBU) market plans.
• Developing the optimum supply chain design to deliver the strategic requirements, to include Joint Ventures and Partnerships.
• Providing functional leadership and development to the Supply Chain Planning & Control professionals (including Program Management) designated to the Supply Chain Unit.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Ensuring the business meets or exceeds agreed targets by supporting the delivery of the required global business performance and financial commitments agreed for the Supply Chain Unit, through functional budget and business planning and assuring delivery performance using effective relationships with internal and external supply networks in order to develop supplier capability and credibility.
• Meeting or exceeding the customers requirements for quality, cost, delivery & responsiveness through effective supply chain design and product realisation for new products, components or change sources are defined for the Supply Chain Unit in line with proven capabilities and providing the necessary program management skills to ensure packages of work for New Product Introduction, major change and/or product re-introduction are planned, scheduled, resourced, budgeted and delivered on time for the SCU.
• Driving the global supply chain to meet or exceed customer requirements by managing and developing customer relationships and leading the Commitment Acceptance (Sales & Operation Review) process, ensuring that all order intake, production planning and capacity parameters are correctly evaluated, communicated and understood.
• Management of global Supply Chain Unit resources to ensure customer requirements for quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness are met using specified functional processes which are compliant with Company procedures and policies by the execution of relevant company and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) practices.
• Creating the Supply Chain Business Unit Supply Chain Planning & Control organisation and environment to contribute to business success by acquiring, developing, sustaining and implementing world's best supply chain and program management for the commodities allocated to this Supply Chain Unit.
Qualifications and Experience:
Basic:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Logistics.
• 12+ years combined business experience in Engineering, Logistics, Purchasing, & Manufacturing.
• Previous experience managing programs and projects within the production planning and control function.
Preferred:
• Master's of Business Administration.
• Operation management in a low volume business with experience in a project based business.
• Proven people management skills and experience leading a business improvement team.
• Previous experience managing complex customer and supplier interfaces at a senior level and proven experience driving Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) management principles.
• Understanding of Value Stream Management and Lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
