Job Description:

• The Sourcing Opportunity Coordinator will be responsible for backroom support on Large Sale Opportunities (LSOs) and new National Account contract opportunities.
• This individual will be primarily operationally and tactically focused, working to ensure the Sourcing team does not compromise Direct Supply’s success on large opportunities.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand LSO programs, selling teams and processes, and execute against individual opportunities.
• Help coordination and delivery of $1MM annually in backroom LSO concessions.
• Promote “outside-the-box” thinking and backroom strategies to help close business opportunities.
• Ensure timeliness and quality of information on LSO requests.
• Develop backroom tools and services for internal customers.
• Understand and coordinate with Aptura, Logistics and Customer Service teams and processes.
• Provide ''Outrageous Customer Service'' to both internal and external customers.
• Drive continuous improvement of related processes.
• Track open opportunities and Sourcing team involvement.
• Assist with opportunity notifications to key suppliers.
• Analyze and track lost opportunities.
• Create ad hoc reports and analysis.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desired.
• Professional maturity with a proven commitment to career.
• Demonstrated capacity to escalate issues appropriately to superiors, both within and outside the chain of command.
• A passion for personal commitment and responsibility.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and communicate process improvement opportunities.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to effectively outline and deliver business cases.
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• High sense of urgency.
• Customer focused.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with an analytical and process-oriented mentality.
• Able to self-manage and work in a team environment.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
