Description:

• Responsible for strategic and tactical activities related to the procurement of chemical raw materials, sourcing, and supply chain management in support of assigned key commodity groups and manufacturing operations.
• Spend for assigned commodities is approximately $200 million annually.
• Lead development and implementation of sourcing strategies related to key chemical raw materials.
• Partner closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to proactively link sourcing strategies with short and long term business priorities.
• Adapt procurement strategies and plans to changing business priorities and communicate proactively with senior leaders to ensure close alignment between procurement and business requirements.
• Participate on business leadership teams to bring procurement expertise and offer ideas that generate value for the business.
• Survey market to understand industry, supplier, and competitor trends.
• Communicate these trends to business leaders and integrate them with procurement strategies.
• Partner with raw material procurement colleagues and regional materials leaders (Europe & Asia) to leverage global sourcing and cross-business spend, and identify new suppliers globally.
• Lead complex negotiations and manage all aspects of the agreements and supplier relationships.
• Monitor supplier quality and intervene where necessary to assure strong supplier performance.
• Complete tactical procurement activities to ensure continued supply of material to the integrated supply chain.


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field required.
• 7 years of procurement experience.


Additional Qualifications:

• MBA preferred.
• At least 5 years experience negotiating contracts and pricing, including terms and conditions, for strategic commodities.
• Previous chemical industry experience in an environment characterized by continuous processes, high spend, and single source suppliers.
• Effective communicator with proven ability to lead meetings in person and remotely, and deliver presentations to both senior level leadership at Honeywell and supplier.
• Ability to listen to business requirements and influence Honeywell business leaders and supplier leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to define and implement complex procurement strategies.
• Strong business acumen and ability to quickly understand business strategies and ensure that procurement strategies are in alignment with the business needs.
• Results oriented and able to work independently on multiple priorities and with high degree of self-motivation.
• Able to work at the pace of the business and partner effectively with business and cross functional colleagues.
• Teamwork:
– Proven success working with global teams, and with all levels of the organization.
– Able to drive results as a team leader as well as member of a team.

• Willingness to learn and incorporate ideas and requirements from a broad group of stakeholders.
• Extensive commodity knowledge of chemical raw material inputs related to Honeywell operations.
• Strong knowledge of PC applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Working knowledge of SAP is highly desired.
• Financial skills utilizing computer-assisted methods are necessary.
