• The Associate Sourcing Manager, Travel and Entertainment will be responsible for continued strategic development, management and implementation of all aspects of the Travel and Entertainment segment as well as managing the day-to-day tactical activities.
• This individual will analyze needs, strategically source, create competitive analysis, negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance with the goals of reducing operating costs, improving processes and providing outrageous customer service.
• The successful candidate must be customer-service oriented, technically savvy and capable of reporting metrics on a consistent basis.
• This person will also communicate a continuous improvement mindset to his/her fellow partners and have the ability to interface with and successfully influence many levels within an organization, including senior leadership.
• Reports to: Associate Director of Supply Chain Operations and Corporate Procurement.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute T&E commodity strategies through effective strategic planning and analysis.
• Provide daily management of all T&E programs including, but not limited to, travel, events, food and beverage related supplier relationships, etc.
• Lead both hard- and soft-cost reductions through sourcing, supplier negotiations, tactical execution and internal process improvements for T&E and other strategic objectives as required.
• Develop and track key business metrics such as travel and supplier compliance, cost avoidance and customer satisfaction to accurately measure travel program performance, supplier effectiveness and opportunities.
• Report key metrics to managers and senior leadership.
• Manage relationships with internal customers to ensure an understanding of their needs, consult on strategy development and execute in support of their objectives.
• Effectively handle all customer service issues assuring compliance with corporate programs.
• Support internal customers’ goods and service needs by identifying, qualifying, and selecting suppliers and products through RFP, RFI, RFQ and other means.
• Responsible for revising and ensuring compliance of the corporate T&E policy and program.
• Develop and facilitate a cohesive marketing and education program to raise awareness and compliance and also communicate program changes to all travelers and key stakeholders.
• Lead functional and cross-functional project teams.
• Manage and administer, with Finance, corporate credit card programs, expense reporting programs and/or other programs or projects as required.
• Support, drive and contribute to further refine the Sourcing team’s vision.
• Provide backup and support to fellow Corporate Procurement partners.
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Bachelor’s degree required; CTE a plus.
• 1 to 3 years strategic sourcing experience, including negotiation experience.
• Travel services sourcing and corporate travel management experience required.
• Superior listening, oral, written and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to produce clear and concise ideas and results to senior leadership.
• Strong business acumen.
• Strong customer orientation, relationship-building skills, and the ability to interface effectively with internal customers.
• Strong computer literacy with web-based travel system (online booking tools, expense reporting systems, etc.), purchasing system proficiency and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to shift priorities and deal with changing demands in an effective manner.
• Knowledge of financials, order processing and flow-thru procedures.
• Inquisitive and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
