Description:
• In this role, you will oversee the repair cycle of spare parts, indirect and direct operating supplies from the return from the Engineering/Maintenance departments, through supplier repair loop, and finally returned to nettable inventory.
• As a member of a growing team you will be required to work with various departments to accomplish your goals and will help develop processes for supporting the repair loop.
• This position will also be required to support the warehouse operations in shipping, receiving and restocking as necessary.
Responsibilities:
The Primary responsibilities for this position include:
• Obtaining Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) from supplier for item requiring repair/rework including repair lead times and quotes (if required).
• Prepare and process repair Purchase Order.
• Package item for shipments and process shipment.
• Provide follow up for all items not received in projected time-lines.
• Process Receipt of Repair upon repair, and return to inventory.
• Prepare monthly reports on items repaired, average repair cycle time frames, days to repair, etc.
• Coordinate and support data analysis for production planning and volume studies with Manufacturing Personnel.
• Provide additional support to shipping and receiving organization as requested.
• Ability to receive product into ERP system using packing slips.
• Loading & Unloading of Product.
• Inventory movement from receipt to storage location to production location.
• Kitting of production work orders.
• Discrepant Material Tracking.
• Shipping of product to either customers or other Solar World Facilities using various carriers as per agreement using ERP system and carrier systems as required (DHL, UPS, Fedex, etc.).
• Operate company owned vehicle transporting product between off-site storage warehouses and/or corporate production facilities.
• Effectively communicate across cross-functional groups.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a minimum of 3-6 years related work experience in high-volume manufacturing, with a preference for experience in general warehousing and shipping and receiving with some knowledge of purchasing preferred.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) as you will be working in a team environment coordinating between manufacturing, engineering, maintenance and vendors.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Computer skills are required including familiarity with windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Additional preference given for familiarity with manufacturing or ERP systems and data entry and/or collection from such systems.
• A working knowledge of warehouse equipment and manufacturing safety procedures is required (e.g., lock-out / tag-out, electrical / high-voltage, chemical, reading MSDS, incident response procedures).
• Must demonstrate an ability to conduct data collection and measurement activities utilizing standard and metric systems.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs and be physically able to perform some repetitive motions.
• Must be able to work a 10-12 hour shift Monday through Friday, and be able to work weekends for team coverage.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
