Description:
• Supply Chain strategy development.
• Diagnostic study of your logistics business processes and their benchmarking against best practice examples.
• Optimization of procurement function with consideration of both specifics of our client's business and best practices such as consolidation/centralization of procurement, e-procurement.
• Design of category management system.
• Logistics shared service creation or outsourcing of logistics feasibility study.
• Providing assistance in determination of the appropriate stock level, establish an effective distribution network, and find the right interaction with suppliers and contractors.
• Help in creation of effective distribution networks, analysis of required collaboration level with suppliers/customers.
• Providing assistance in determination and implementation of an information system that can addresses client's business needs.
Requirements:
Knowledge Preferred:
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of supply planning, inventory management, push systems, pull systems, demand planning and management, production planning, master scheduling, vendor relationships, cost rationalization, MRP, EOQ, safety stock levels, capacity modeling, metrics reporting, focused factory, and Just-in-Time environments in global operations.
• Thorough knowledge of identifying inventory levels that meet customer service levels while minimizing production, warehousing, and transportation costs, improving production planning models, incorporating demand uncertainty into production planning decisions, integrating supply with demand, moving the supply chain from push to pull, implementing formal inventory planning policies based on ABC classifications.
Skills Preferred:
• Thorough experience and ability to manage large or multiple teams through the design and implementation of people, process and technology changes in the supply planning functions of our clients.
• Considerable experience identifying and addressing client needs: building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement; communicating value propositions; managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
• Considerable experience as a team leader: supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust; seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation; and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.
• Thorough experience with resource planning systems and software including SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, Hyperion, Manugistics.
Minimum Degree(s) and Certification(s) Required:
• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree required.
• Preferred concentration: Engineering or Operations Management.
• Graduate level degree preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Advisor (CFA), or American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certifications preferred.
Additional Information:
Experience leading process improvement projects (in industry or as a consultant) in the following:
• Sales & operations planning.
• Demand & supply chain planning.
• Inventory management.
• Transportation & logistics management.
• Network design.
• Industry experience in one or more of the following industries: retail/consumer, industrial products, and/or technology preferred.
• Previous consulting experience preferred.
Additional skills could include:
• Linear programming/ optimization software experience.
• Experience with multiple supply chain management applications which could include SAP, Oracle, JDA/Manugistics, JDA/i2.
• Experience with warehouse management, transportation management and demand planning modules.
• Management positions in industry with increasing breadth and depth of responsibility.
• Six Sigma or Lean.
• Distribution center management responsibilities.
