Description:

The Regional Supply Chain (SC)HSSE Advisor provides coordination, advise and support to regional SC facilities to ensure consistent delivery of key HSSE programs.


Key Accountabilities:

• Support the Americas Supply Chain (SC) Lubricants business to implement BP programs and standards (Control of Work, Operating Management System, Contractor Assurance, Safety Leadership) and monitor compliance with BP Group policies, expectations and local legislation.
• Provide assurance of compliance for regulatory and BP requirements:
– Provide guidance and data for federal and local reporting requirements.
– Advise sites as to actions required to deliver completion of compliance tasks, including determination of appropriate operational controls.
– Assist with audits and inspections as required.
– Ensure required HSSE procedures are maintained with appropriate level of consistency across region.
– Assist with near miss and incident reporting, ensuring accurate and timely Incident notification (incl. Tr@ction) as required.

• Support and coach the Regional HSSE Network to ensure implementation of HSSE requirements, programs and standards for SC.
• Manage sharing best practices and learning across business and cascade communications and engagement material.
• Liaise with the Americas Program Manager and Advisor to ensure all required program aspects are embedded in SC operations.
• Ensure all required training is completed at SC facilities in conjunction with Regional Program Advisor.
• Liaise with Regional Engineering Authority network.
• Maintain HSSE management information, track and report on performance, analyze gaps and develop action plans to improve performance.
• Support the Regional HSSE Network in the implementation of the annual HSSE plan.


Essential Criteria & Qualifications:

• Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
• A minimum of 5 years of HSSE experience in corporate and/or operations role.
• Strong influencing and networking skills.
• Demonstrable experience in implementing HSSE programs.
• Knowledge of HSSE laws, regulations and government processes.


Desirable Criteria & Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in safety, environmental, engineering or related science.
• Capability in other regional languages.
