Description:

• Hitachi Consulting's Aerospace & Defense Practice is looking for a Supply Chain Senior Manager.
• The Senior Manager will pursue supply chain opportunities in support of existing clients and net-new targets, will lead A&D consulting projects, and will build out the supply chain competency within the A&D business unit.


Responsibilities will include:

Account Management:

• Serve as the program or project manager for multiple large engagements with named target accounts.
• Management of client relationship and project risk and profitability.
• Development of and execution against plans and budgets for projects.
• Provide leadership to enable project teams to deliver high-quality work products.
• Perform resource management and resource project performance review.


Business Development:

• Responsibility for identifying consulting opportunities, leading pursuit teams, and developing estimates and proposals.
• Manage and maintain alliance partner relationship.
• Development and maintenance of relationships at all levels in client organization.
• Development and execution of account plans.


Intellectual Property Development:

• Apply Aerospace & Defense industry knowledge to develop unique SCM / Operational points of view to differentiate consulting solutions.
• Apply functional expertise to develop methods and templates for the implementation of world-class solutions.
• Develop white-papers and presentations for marketing initiatives.


Practice Leadership:

• Development and maintenance of a profitable team of managers and consultants.
• Provider of career guidance for managers and consultants and annual performance reviews.
• Participation in recruitment and engagement staffing.


We are seeking an individual with the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Clearances: Desirable, not required at this time.
• 10+ years experience in professional services (prior major consultancy experience preferred).
• 10+ years of experience providing consulting services to A&D companies.
• Proven experience in managing multiple, large ($1M+) performance management engagements.
• Preferred experience in selling multiple large ($1M+) performance management engagements.
• Ability to build vision, understand and define requirements, design practical solutions, develop supporting business cases and implement solutions for clients.
• Strong leadership, communication (verbal and written), analytical and problem-solving skills.


Travel:

• Regular and expeditious travel throughout the United States and occasionally overseas is required to meet client needs and timetables.
• Available to be stationed at and work from an out-of-town client site for an extended period of time.
• Some travel will be required and depending on client locations, could be heavy.
