Description:
• Under limited direction, responsible for managing procurement and inventory initiatives requiring a combination of good solid procurement and inventory management background and simultaneous management of project objectives and activities.
• Manages all operational procurement activities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in related field from an accredited college or university,and a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years progressively responsible related experience, including at least two (2) years experience at a managerial level, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements.
• Fully understands a Pharmaceutical environment, complete with FDA and GMP knowledge, used internally and externally.
• Obtains a good working knowledge of equivalent compliance in foreign countries.
• Business English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
• Business and personal computer hardware and software applications.
• Solid understanding of Supply Chain fundamentals.
• Distribution and buying systems; SCORE buying system, TPS and/or JDE.
• Current Company policies and practices, including safety rules and regulations.
• Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization including senior executives internally and with Suppliers.
• Establish and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others.
• Able to Build solid working relationship with the Sales and Pricing and Contracts organizations within Watson to insure a high level of focus on quality throughout the Purchasing/Procurement organization.
• Providing excellent customer service with both internal and external customers.
• Good quantitative skills.
• Strong management skills.
• Strong project management skills, including demonstrated experience of managing cross-functional processes.
• Analytical mindset. Excellent leadership, organization and negotiation skills.
• Advanced skills in MS Office Tools.
• Excellent presentation techniques.
• Ability to maintain good relationship with Suppliers, their requirements, and the responsibility to recommend removing them if they are not performing in a compliant format.
• Ability to maintain the highest corporate level of objectivity, business ethics, professionalism and confidentiality, both internally and externally.
• Ability to monitor performance against goals, analyzes results, and recommend appropriate action for all items in all assigned categories.
• Ability to administer, interpret and manage contract agreements.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, duties and tasks concurrently.
• Researching, analyzing and interpreting reports, compliance requirements, regulations, contracts and data.
Education:
