• Kraft Foods is currently seeking a Sr. Manager of Purchasing Operations and Sourcing Support for our corporate headquarters in Northfield, IL.
• The role oversees the entire Procurement Operations, Sourcing Support, and Financial Analysts functions.
• Procurement Operations handles all of the Purchase Requisitioning, Online Catalogs /Ordering Tool, Procurement Help Desk.
• This role is expected to manage the service provider to the contractual SLAs, as well as, drive best practices throughout Indirect Procurement.
• Often, this role will ensure business continuity through mitigating risks and resolving escalations from the Plants due to supplier issues.
• In addition, to the Procurement Operations responsibilities, this individual will be responsible for Sourcing Support activities such as conducting bids for the Sourcing Category Managers and conducting data and financial modeling to analyze past spend, cost models, etc.
• Lastly, this role covers responsibilities in benchmarking, cost competitiveness, and value creation perspective.
• This individual will also be responsible to ensure the entire Indirect Procurement organization is utilizing standard sourcing processes and tools.
Responsibilities:
• Lead, control, and drive the sourcing activities associated with Procurement Operations (PR, Catalog Maintenance, Help Desk) to ensure Plants are able to order and receiving all goods and services needed to run the plants.
• Sourcing Support includes supporting Category Management through activities such as financial analysis (including investigation supplier solvency), bid support, and project management of sourcing projects.
• This role will also support benchmarking and commodity competitiveness.
• Responsible for issues escalation to support business continuity when the service provider cannot resolve the issue in Level I and II.
• Lead and manage staff, providing direction, setting objectives, approving execution plans, and delegating tasks, in order to deliver against business goals.
• Act as a coach and mentor to enhance team performance, provide direction in the creation of employees' Development Plans, and oversee or direct performance issue resolution.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Supply Chain, Computer Science or related.
• 8+ years purchasing/sourcing experience demonstrating proven career growth.
• 3+ years people management.
• At least 3 years Purchasing/Procurement Operations experience.
• At least 3 years Program Management - outsourcing experience is a plus).
• Experience with change management with the ability to influence change.
• Proven Strategic and problem solving capability.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent leadership skills in dynamic and matrix organization.
• Strong collaboration, interpersonal savvy and organization skills.
