Materials Manager

Description:

• The Materials Manager is responsible for managing, leading and supporting the materials management team.
• Responsible for ensuring a high level of service through the development of the current and future strategy plans, building relationships with internal and external customers and promoting team accountability.
• In addition, this individual acts as the local Enterprise contact for supply chain and purchasing, concerning all supply issues.
• This individual is required to support, communicate and follow all HSE policies and procedures and is responsible for administering corrective action as needed.


Knowledge & Skills:

• BS in Chemical Engineering or technical area preferred.
• Equivalent in related work experience will be reviewed and may be considered.
• 10+ yrs work experience with knowledge of chemical plant equipment required.
• Experience working in an union facility preferred.
• Supply Chain experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and must be proficient in SAP.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications a plus.
• Strong leadership skills and must be committed to a leadership role in HSE excellence.
• Ability to manage and understand data from various sources and formulate actions in a timely manner.
• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Customer focused and the ability think outside the box.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and EAP regulations, state and federal laws and ISO 9000 standards.
