Description:

• Manage existing supplier relationships and identifying new suppliers to support Jamba Juice Company’s continued growth, both domestically and internationally.
• To ensure that Jamba remains a leader within the QSR industry both in ensuring excellent product quality while maintaining our competitive edge in terms of costs.


Responsibilities

• Direct sourcing/procurement responsibility for assigned supplier, manufacturer and co-packing relationships.
• Responsible for the day-to-day communication with suppliers/manufacturers to monitor supply and product quality programs, distribution related issues, QA, SOX compliance, etc... and ensure that Jamba files are updated with current insurance certificates, quality assurance documentation, and follow up to corrective action on QA issues.
• Assist and support the procurement strategies that support the business by coordinating the interest and needs of operations, sales, marketing, quality, and product innovation, including the development of new products and commercialization/implementation.
• Identify cost saving opportunities through alternative product sourcing and services; continually challenge supplier base for innovation and cost optimization.
• Responsible for communicating costing / contract changes into the Cost of Goods models and applicable tools, as well as ongoing auditing/reconciliation of actual costs versus forecasted costs.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support supplier communication, usage forecasts, new products, promotions, discontinued items, and inventory disposition, etc.
• Builds strong business partnerships with external suppliers and internal departments, to insure that all areas of the supply chain are executing smoothly.
• Other duties or tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis.


Qualifications:

• Three to five years sourcing/procurement/supply chain experience within the food industry.
• College Degree.
• Superior negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient at financial analysis in Excel and presentation skills via PowerPoint.
• Able to present ideas effectively, actively listens and works across functional boundaries.
• Results oriented self-starter with high energy level.
