• The Sr. Strategic Sourcing Analyst is an internal consultancy role responsible for investigating business systems, identifying improvement opportunities and conducting analysis on sourcing data (financial, vendor, contract, governance, etc.).
• The Sourcing Analyst will evaluate current business processes related to sourcing (including purchase orders, travel and expense, PCard, vendor setup, etc.) and will make recommendations for process improvement initiatives.
• The Sr. Sourcing Analyst will also implement technology solutions where possible to streamline the processes.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
• Developing and implementing analytical reports and analysis to support negotiations with vendors providing goods and services worldwide.
• Supporting specific sourcing initiatives and vendor negotiations to help the Strategic Sourcing department achieve goals regarding strategic sourcing, supply chain, process and infrastructure improvements.
• Supporting the sourcing department (across all aspects of Paramount) with data analysis, model building, process analysis communication and vendor/contract management.
• Working independently and within a team to deliver analytical documentation and support by critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, decomposing high-level information into details, abstracting up from low-level information to a general understanding.
• Gathering, analyzing and documenting requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
• Interpreting customer business needs and translating them into application and operational requirements by professional interaction with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
• Designing and developing software tools for the purpose of automation and elimination of redundant work.
• Providing analytical support for sourcing activities by performing:
– Spend analysis.
– Feasibility analysis.
– Cost/benefit analysis.
– Process analysis.
– Ad-hoc analysis.
• Developing and implementing tools to allow rigorous cost and market analysis to be completed by the sourcing professionals.
• Ensuring consistent application of sourcing processes across constituent groups.
• Developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting performance measures that demonstrate value and ensure vendor performance.
• Building and establishing relationships with key business units financial and operational personnel to ensure full understanding and support for purchasing initiatives.
• Developing, tracking, and reporting savings, spending compliance and variances, communicate findings with procurement heads, finance and business units.
Basic qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 3 years of Business Analyst or similar experience.
