Description:

• There are two positions to be filled.
• One will focus on dry bulk truckload transport supervision and the other will focus on dry bulk rail transport.
• Applicants will be engaging field personnel to improve existing logistics processes with the goal to lower Total Cost of Ownership source to wellhead for bulk products.
• Additional objectives will include improving service to customers, and minimizing supply chain risk.
• Strong interpersonal and change management skills will be required to drive progress with indirect reporting lines from field personnel.
• Travel will be required domestically, but will typically be less than 30%.
• Interaction with third party service suppliers will be a regular activity and strong negotiating skills will be required for success.
• Bachelor of Science in Logistics, Economics, or Engineering required.
• 4-7 years of experience in the logistics industry.
• Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Power Point and Outlook is required.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Lean training or certification preferred.
• Oilfield or utilities industry experience preferred, but not required.
• Looking for candidates with experience in the purchasing and movement of bulk materials in high volumes.
• Strong leadership skills required.
• Ensure accurate and effective control of the receipt, handling and distribution of bulk material to meet the requirements of the customer.
• Apply and assure adherence to company policies and departmental procedures.
• Fluency in foreign language(s) a plus, but not required.
• At least one year with experience in the bulk rail transportation process.
• Ability to turn data into decision enabling information and knowledge. Strong analytical skills are a must.
• Perform to a high level of accuracy on all tasks.
• Highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures.
• Strong work ethic with attention to details and desire to produce accurate work output.
• Self motivated independent thinker.
