Description:

• Working across multiple businesses or regions, you’ll direct procurement of group indirect materials, so ensuring reliable and cost-effective supplies.
• Be a key player for a company that is a market leader in delivering innovative technologies, solutions and services to wide range of customers in communications and electronics.


Here is what you will be measured on:

• Providing sourcing expertise for indirect material purchases of the worldwide service organization.
• Driving sourcing processes and taking ownership for contract management and supplier negotiations.
• Leading development of high impact and/ or long-range strategic projects and initiatives.
• Introduction of new tools and processes.
• Leading team of tactical buyers/analysts for optimizing indirect material purchasing processes and sourcing strategies for our worldwide service delivery organization.
• Initiating innovative procurement program/ process design, development concepts.
• Becoming a business consultant to group and business level managers.
• Ensuring procurement system data integrity and consistency.
• Establishing and maintaining supplier relationships plus developing specific programs with suppliers to achieve business objectives and supply chain optimization.
• The preferred locations for this function are Santa Rosa and Santa Clara in California.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent education and 10 to 12+ years relevant experience.
• Experience/understanding of the indirect material sourcing processes and strategies.
• Experience in supplier management, negotiations, and contracts management.
• Experience in working in a global sourcing/procurement environment.
• Proficient in Power Point, Excel, and ability to query various procurement databases.
• Demonstrated problem analysis and problem solving ability.
• Demonstrated project management ability.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Effectively engage with senior and executive management levels.
• Experience in change management.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with other departments at various levels.
