Description:

This candidate will also collaborate effectively with associates across all work functions while acting as a leader and voice of sourcing and technical resolution as it relates to your function.


Qualifications:

• Develop and execute plans and strategies to ensure textile supply that aligns with the needs of the business.
• Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk and protect continuity of supply.
• Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning.
• Develop a negotiation strategy that delivers against business objectives and achieves sustainable relationships with suppliers.
• Implement supplier agreements/contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions.
• Influence suppliers' manufacturing processes, technology decisions and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable.
• Share industry and technical skills to develop team competencies.
• Act in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure our ability to meet customer commitments.


Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, or Textiles with 7+ years of relevant textile industry experience in manufacturing or textile engineering.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Textile Industry and Supply Chain Management.
• Experience in Buying, Planning, Vendor Management and Procurement.
• Ability to work in an environment that is expected to both innovate and manufacture efficiently.
• Proven business knowledge in the areas of manufacturing, financials, project management, quality systems, supply chains, etc.
• Experience in successfully partnering and building relationships with other functions such as:
– Business Teams.
– Engineering Teams.
– Manufacturing Teams.
– Suppliers and Global Teams.

• Demonstrated technical ability to solve problems with urgency on a wide variety of textile fabrics regardless of complexity, as well as product knowledge to develop product from initial concept to commercialization.
• Leadership and influencing skills as evidenced by previous experience in team or project management.
• Documented history of establishing strategic plans and successful implementation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Mentor team members to effectively match individual development plans with business needs.
• Travel <25%.


Desirable:

• Ability to foster continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with planning systems (i.e. MRT, JD Edwards, PDM).
• Literacy in lean manufacturing a plus.
• Demonstrated change advocate.
• Experience developing contingency plans.
• Understanding of inventory management.
• Experience in facilitating Sales and Operational Planning Processes.
